Brigadier General Terrence Feehan promoted to rank of Air Force Major General

Air Force Brig. Gen. Terrence Feehan, Program Executive for Programs and Integration for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), was promoted to the rank of Major General during a ceremony Aug. 5, 2011 at Redstone Arsenal, Ala. Army Lt. Gen. Patrick J. O'Reilly, director of MDA, officiated at the ceremony.

Maj. Gen. Feehan supervises a Ballistic Missile Defense System program valued at more than $7 billion annually with more than 6,000 civilian, military and contractor personnel at nationwide offices. Programs under Maj. Gen. Feehan's supervision include Ground-Based Midcourse Defense, Targets and Countermeasures, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, Israeli Programs, Global Deployment and several classified programs. He is also responsible for acting on military service-specific requirements and supervising the transition and transfer to the services of BMDS capabilities.

Maj. Gen. Feehan received a commission as a distinguished honor graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1984. He has served as an engineer, acquisition program manager and inspector general, has been assigned at the major command and headquarters Air Force levels, and was a Secretary of Defense Fellow with Accenture Corporation.  He has previously commanded at the squadron, group, wing and numbered Air Force levels.
