The MDA conducts most of its actions on host military installations, military ranges, or other federal properties and prior to 2010, the MDA relied on the host services' or agency's NEPA procedures.  However, following new guidance released in 2010 and after consulting with the Council on Environmental Quality, the MDA determined the need to establish Agency-specific NEPA implementing procedures and CATEXs for our projects and actions.

The MDA is currently preparing Agency-specific NEPA Implementing Procedures and will be publishing them in the Federal Register for public comment in the near future.
